The campground at the Desert of Maine has recently been renovated so the sites and amenities live up to its magical surroundings. This quiet and luxurious campground is nestled in among tall Northern Pine trees, on the edge of the dunes. It is close to Freeport and Portland but it feels like it is a world away from everything.
For 2023 we have seven campsites available for tents, vans and truck campers. NOTE: As painful as it was to make this decision, we can no longer accomodate RVs such as travel trailers (of any kind, including pop-ups, teardrop trailers, etc.), motorhomes, Class C's, or anything that isn't a van or truck camper. It is just too difficult to get them into our campsites with all of the trees. Ugh. We are so sorry!
