  • NOISE

    • The Desert of Maine Campground is a quiet, serene campground. Please act accordingly.

    • Quiet Hours are from to 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Guests arriving or departing during quiet hours, should pretend the campground is filled with light-sleeping, hardened street fighters who just start scrapping when they are awoken. • Other types of pets are not allowed. Guests who bring other types of pets may be asked to leave without a refund.

    • Dogs must be registered ($20/night per dog). Why so much? Muddy paws and hair everywhere, cleaning up after them, and noise complaints.

    • ADA-designated service dogs are exempted from the nightly fee.

    • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended.

    • Unfortunately, dogs who bark too much are probably stressed out by the camping experience so we will have to ask their owners to help them calm down or take them back home.
