NOISE
-
The Desert of Maine Campground is a quiet, serene campground. Please act accordingly.
-
Quiet Hours are from to 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Guests arriving or departing during quiet hours, should pretend the campground is filled with light-sleeping, hardened street fighters who just start scrapping when they are awoken. If someone is not respecting quiet hours, please call us at 207-250-2560 ext. 3. Guests who violate our quiet hours policy will be given one warning. After the first warning, they will be asked to leave.
-
Generators are not allowed.
-
Dogs who bark excessively will be asked to leave.
-
-
VEHICLES
- All vehicles must park at their assigned site or in designated parking areas. Do not block the road or prevent access to other sites.
- A maximum of one (1) vehicle per site is allowed. Additional vehicle parking is available in the larger parking lot near the entrance to the campground.
- Drive slowly (10 mph max) within the campground.
-
Do not leave your vehicle running in the campground.
-
Turn off lights while unloading.
-
DOGS / PETS
-
We love dogs. We accept all scruffy-duffy boys and girls (i.e. well-behaved dogs) regardless of breed.
-
Other types of pets are not allowed. Guests who bring other types of pets may be asked to leave without a refund.
-
Dogs must be registered ($20/night per dog). Why so much? Muddy paws and hair everywhere, cleaning up after them, and noise complaints.
-
ADA-designated service dogs are exempted from the nightly fee.
-
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended.
-
Unfortunately, dogs who bark too much are probably stressed out by the camping experience so we will have to ask their owners to help them calm down or take them back home.
-
Guests must clean up after their dog(s).
-
The maximum number of dogs allowed per site is 2.
-
-
