What's new? Everything

Well not all new, but all different. Here at the new Desert of Maine, we believe in the regenerating power of three things, nature, education, and art. The camping and tours will continue but re-imagined. Out with RVs, in with more tents and a few cabins. Out with jeeps, in with gentle strolls. And in in in with music and art. This year we are focusing on a complete renovation of the historic Tuttle barn where we plan to host a thriving arts center for performances, events and educational initiatives.

open daily 9am - 5pm for self-guided walking tours

Admission is $10.

Kids 5 and under and all Freeport residents are free.

Camping is closed for the 2020 season due to COVID-19
(but we'll be back better than ever next year!)
